We use the account to settle your trades on Opentrader
We automatically deposit proceeds from sale transactions and debit funds for shares you purchase 💰
It’s all managed through Opentrader
You can view your available cash balance and generate your own cash ledger reports within Opentrader. You can’t log in to the account directly via ANZ as the account is a trust account held and operated by Openmarkets Australia Ltd on your behalf (what is Openmarkets?).
Your ANZ Cashactive account details
Once your Opentrader account application has been processed, your ANZ Cashactive BSB and account number will be included in the welcome email sent from us. You can also find them on the Portfolio page on Opentrader once you log in as per below.
Your ANZ Cashactive account will be open and ready to receive funds when you receive the welcome email.
Deposit money via bank transfer 💰
Firstly, make sure your account is active and ready to use. This will be up to 2 business days after receiving the welcome email from us.
To send money from an Australian bank account:
- Make an online transfer into your ANZ Cashactive Account using internet or mobile banking from your preferred bank
- Your ANZ Cashactive account name is your Opentrader account name
- You’ll need your ANZ Cashactive account number and BSB
- Include your ANZ Cashactive account number as the reference
We don’t charge deposit fees, but please check if your sending bank does (especially for international transfers).
Domestic transfers usually take around 2-3 days. International transfers do take longer and you can check out more specific timeframes with your sending bank ⏳
We update your Opentrader balance each morning (on business days), so please allow an extra business day for the money to reflect in your available trading balance.
To send money from an International bank account:
If you’d like to deposit from an international account, you’ll need to transfer the money to Opentrader first, and then we’ll send the money to your ANZ Cashactive account 🌎

Send us a form to withdraw money 📑
We hate forms too! And we’re trying to get these cut where possible. Bear with us for now, and we’ll let you know when this changes.
What we’ll need from you:
- Complete the ANZ withdrawal form
- Send us a copy of your ID (passport or drivers licence)
If this is your first withdrawal or you are withdrawing to a new bank account, you'll also need to send us: a bank statement from within the last 3 months
- It must be in the same name as your Opentrader account*
- It must show your current address
- It must show your bank details (account number and BSB)
- Please email all of that to us at firstname.lastname@example.org from your registered email address
*We do not pay third parties. In other words, your withdrawal bank account name must match your Opentrader account name.
